15-06-2011Hanoi, 3 June 2011 - Mr Pham Manh Thang, Director General of the Energy Department of MoIT and Ms Angelika Wasielke, Chief Technical Advisor of GIZ's Wind Energy Project gave opening speeches today at a workshop to introduce two handbooks namely, 'Information on the Wind Energy Sector of Viet Nam' and 'Guidelines on wind power planning in Viet Nam.'

Wind Energy Workshop in Ho Chi Minh City Hands-on Training Provides New Insights
14-02-2011About 30 Vietnamese from different organizations and companies attended a workshop on wind energy in Ho Chi Minh City from December 13 to 17, 2010, sponsored by the German Ministry of Environment, Nature Conversation and Nuclear Safety. The workshop introduced participants to basic fundamentals of onshore wind energy as well as to the challenging task of wind measurement.

Study Tour on Wind Energy Vietnamese Delegates Meet with Experts in Beijing
14-02-2011In December 2010, 20 delegates from different Vietnamese Ministries and Governmental bodies such as Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Government Office, Binh Thuan Wind Energy Association, Energy Association, Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan and Lam Dong Province as well as selected wind energy developers went on a study tour to China. Sponsored by the German Ministry of Environment, Nature Conversation and Nuclear Safety, Vietnamese participants were able to participate in eleven meetings in Beijing, from 6 to 9 December 2010.
