Professional Profile

Currently, the project has five members: Ms Angelika Wasielke - Chief Technical Advisor - from Germany; Ms Vu Chi Mai - Project Coordinator; Ms Nguyen Tuong Khanh - Project Coordinator; Ms Nguyen Thu Phuong - Administration Officer; and Mr Phan Thanh Tung - Project Assistant.

ANGELIKA WASIELKE

Ms. Angelika Wasielke is the Chief Technical Advisor of the project.

In her studies, she focused on the economics of developing countries and environmental economics. Ms. Wasielke started her career by working for the German Federal Office for the Environment (Umweltbundesamt), followed by a position with the German Technical Cooperation, where she worked in the field of wind power development for three years. The position in Vietnam gives her the chance to apply her experience in renewable energy development to a new market. Her favorite pastimes are cooking and hiking.

 

 

 

 

 

 

NGUYEN TUONG KHANH

Ms. Khanh is currently working for the Wind Energy Project as Project Coordinator.

She started working for GIZ in 2007 as a Project Assistant for the Railways Project until its termination at the end of 2008. Ms. Khanh graduated with a concentration in foreign trade from the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City in 1996 and then earned a master's degree in marketing from the University of Houston - Clear Lake (USA) in 2005. Working for a development cooperation such as GIZ in Vietnam enables her to fulfil her desire to make a contribution toward a better and more sustainable future in Vietnam. Acquaintances call her dynamic, open and friendly. Her favorite pastimes are watching movies and cooking.

 

 

 

 

VU CHI MAI

Mrs. Vu Chi Mai is Project Coordinator.

She earned a master's degree in economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration with an emphasis on the economies of developing countries (2004, Austria) and bachelor‘s degree in French from Hanoi University (1994). Being strongly interested in the development sector in Vietnam, Ms. Chi Mai has worked on different issues for various international organizations: micro finance (Secours Populaire Francais, a French NGO), anti-human-trafficking (Oxfam Quebec), civil society (UNDP), agriculture (GIZ) and now wind energy (GIZ). She is grateful for the chance to enrich her life by working on different topics and with various target groups and beneficiaries. Through them, she learns how Vietnam and its people develop, step by step. Her hobbies include discovering other worlds through travels and movies.

 

 

NGUYEN THU PHUONG

Ms Nguyen Thu Phuong is Administration Officer.

She graduated from Viet Nam Institute of Youth Union with subject of Social work in 2005. After finished the Adoption Program in Belgium NGO, she started working for GIZ Health Project in Son La province in 2007. She has been acting for 4 years in different GIZ projects as Administrator cum Accountant. Recently she is attending in ACCA course (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) to improve her professional skills.

The professional working environment of GIZ has been supporting her very much to reach her objectives.

She is an outgoing personality and her advantage is getting along well with people. Travelling, cooking, and singing are her favorite subjects, also development and charity works are the parts of her time life.

 

PHAN THANH TUNG

Mr. Phan Thanh Tung is currently working for GIZ’s Wind Energy Project as Project Assistant.

He started working for GIZ since last April 2011. In his studies, he graduated a master program (2010) in environmental technology from the King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok, Thailand, with focusing on the topic of coastal meteorological phenomena. He has also earned some experiences with potential wind resource assessment for the whole Thailand using the advanced meteorological modeling. From 2006 to 2008, he worked as a researcher for the Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Environment, right after he graduated a Bachelor’s degree (2006) from Meteorology Department from the Hanoi University of Science. Working for GIZ in Vietnam gives him a good chance to achieve experiences in renewable energy sector. His hobbies are playing football, listening to music, and travelling.
